A short, but very exciting look (for me) into what makes up Thomas Moser Furniture. We talked briefly about manufacturing, design, and where he and he son derive their inspirations for design. We also very briefly explore where his company may be headed in the future.

Thanks so much for posting this! Tom really enjoyed his time at the WIA conference and would like to say thanks to you and everyone else who welcomed him so warmly. We have a photo of you interviewing Tom that we would be happy to send to you. We would also like to post your interview (or at least a link to it) on our blog at blog.thosmoser.com if that is ok with you.

Scott,
You can absolutely post a link to the interview on your blog. If you’d like to send me the photo, I’ll post it up on The Sawdust Chronicles and add it to the blog post for the interview.

I would also like to thank Tom for his time and patience. He really didn’t have to allow me to interview him while he was signing books, and I would have completely understood.

It was great to see that Tom either had a definite connection to his admirers, or that he at least afforded each person at least a little time for discussion. That was refreshing to see in this age of people being so impersonal with each other.

Rick……………….very nice. T. Moser really dove in and gave you some wonderful insight. His thought on a design derivative progressing towards improvement was interesting as was his comment that we (Thom Moser)…..don’t build art we build usefulness.

Your last question on where would Moser ne in 5 years was excellent. To hear him mention injection molding, different materials all good stuff that needs to be heard by the home shop.

Just wonderful…………Neil
